The first decision I had to make was to go with Orange Mango or with Grape.  Tough choice, and since I run the foremost website on the internet dealing in energy shots, I took the hit and got both flavors.  $72.  It is for the children, I justified.  The children.

As for flavor, both are tolerable, neither one being either extra good or extra bad.  Thankfully, my taste buds survived this taste test.  Either that or they are totally shot from the other nasty ones I have put my buds up against.  I failed to taste the mango in the orange mango flavor however.  Grape tasted like grape.

Luckily for all of us that are addicted to these things, they have 0 calories and therefore can be sucked down at will if you are on a diet.  That is not recommended, and I have yet to find an energy shot that I want to sip on like it's a fountain drink.

Does Street King energy shot pack a punch?  Boy does it . . . sort of.  With its all natural ingredients, and caffeine and B vitamins being the typical precursors to an energy assault, it is a decent energy shot, but nothing special.  I know it has come to the fact that I am a broken record, but this is an industry that is hard to make anything better without adding in substances that are not legal and/or bad for you.

You'll feel the onset pretty quick since you are getting a load of caffeine in liquid form.  Absorbed straight to the stomach and the blood stream, I recommend this on an empty stomach for full effects.  The SK 464 milligram "Rebel Energy Blend" which is basically a bunch of caffeine and filler is what you will feel.  There is definitely a bunch of caffeine in this sucker.

This sugar free energy shot from Rip It, maker of cheap $1 energy drinks, provides a short lived buzz, and an easy to swallow 2 oz free form energy shot. The packaging is decent and at only a $1 a shot it is easy to see the temptation with this lil diddy.

Flavor is good so there is nothing to worry about there. Goes down easy.

The buzz lasts about 2 hours and there may or may not be crash depending on caffeine tolerance and if you have had any other caffeinated whatever for the day. Results vary, but it doesn't seem to be as potent as other energy shots, and with Xtra energy shot only costing a $1 they are a better choice. However in a pinch grab 2 for $2 and still save money over other shots.

What I like about Worx Energy is their tenacity in going all out for an already saturated market.  Worx Energy Shot Extra Strength is a new competitor, but there are a few subtle things that make it different.  With a large marketing budget, Worx Energy Worx has commercials similar to 5 hour energys running in many markets, and they are doing a proactive social marketing campaign.  These are great things  as we would like Worx to stay around.

Packaging:  The packaging for Worx is impressive with a black and white with a hint of green label wrapped over a typical two ounce plastic bottle.  Did I say typical?  There is one separate difference in the bottle that I like and it is so simple I wish other makers would do it.  The mouth is larger.  This wide mouth opening makes it much easier and quicker to take the shot, which makes sense.  Its a shot, so it makes since just to slam it down quick as you can.

Taste:  It's strange that Worx wouldn't list a flavor, but then I thought about it.  When I pick up an energy shot, I don't even pay attention any more.  It only matters that the thing doesn't trip the gag reflex, and Worx definitely does not do that.  It has a mixed berry flavor that will make many pucker when you're done, but that's it.

After the shot I felt it in about a half hour, and it lasted almost four hours.  Pretty good.  No crash to speak of.  I was impressed with it, and will be a repeat customer for this product when I see it.

I'll follow up with a review on Worx Energy original formula(blue bottle), but the only difference I've seen at this point is 500 mg of difference in the energy blend.

So we compared the ingredients which are virtually the same.  However, there are a few slight differences.

The main difference is in the energy blend.  Instant Energy Shot has a more potent blend with more ingredients and they have 10 mg of an "herbal blend" containing Green Tea, Ginseng, and Kola Nut.  However, Firepower has that blend minus the kola nut in its energy blend.

Firepower Extreme has the following in its energy blend:

Glucronolactone, L-phenylalanine, d-ribose, n-acetyl, l-tyrosine, malic acid, caffeine, green tea extract (leaf), and ginseng extract (root)

Instant Energy has the following:

Glucose, Taurine, Malic Acid, Caffeine, Glucronolactone, L-phenylanine, N-acety, L-tyrosine.  The herbal blend has green tea, ginseng, and kola-nut.

Both contain about the same amount of caffeine as a strong cup of coffee.

As far as comparison, the energy was very hard to differentiate between the two.  Both provide elevated mood, and desire to work or get things done.  Extra mental focus was discovered, and both did increase energy.

The biggest difference is Instant Energy lasts longer, mainly the herbal blend kicked in later with an extra boost of caffeine, where the firepower lacked.  However, FirePower Extreme appears to work better as a preworkout supplement.  What causes this and why?  We are not sure.

A big difference was noticed as the effects wore off.  With fire power extreme the crash was "harder", although relatively gentle.  There was little problem with coming off instant energy.

Taste is the same.  Difference is slight to none, besides flavor, which has that super sweet taste of many energy shots.

In conclusion, this energy shot works, but its best suited for those who are active athletically as a pre-workout vitamin.  It runs the same price as Instant Energy, but Instant Energy is more readily available locally, and is more "intense".  So, try them both, and then decide on personal preference and use the one that fits your lifestyle.

Nitro2go, one of the largest energy shot manufacturers on the market, has upped themselves with the Nitro2go Mega Shot.  Improving upon the Nitro2go Energy Shot, Nitro 2 go Inc has made a value bottle with 2 shots in one bottle.  We review the pomegrape flavor but there are many other smartie flavors to choose from.

The bottle claims 14 HOURS OF ENERGY.  Which of course is not going to happen.  I have yet to find a shot that will give me a true FULL 5 hours of energy, although some come close.  Beyond 5 hours it's all marketing folks.

However, Nitro2go is one of the best energy shots, ranking as number three 5 hour energy alternative in 2008, and number one in 2009.  It mirrors 5 hour in taste and consistency.

This 4 ounce bottle has twice the juice as a regular instant energy shot, so you can get two intense doses of insanity in one container.  It is the same ingredients and product, just in different packaging.  For further information see the review from the link above.

If you want to save money, this mega shot will cut down on costs by about 33% so it is a good deal if you like Nitro2go.  However, the bigger container is not as easy to pack around, and may annoy some to try and guess the amount of one shot, leading to too much energy, which may or may not be fun.
